The Gothenburg-based skateboard competition “Gothenburg Bowl Games” has been around for a couple of years and it has always had its own little place in the heart of the scene.
You can simply call it a summer wrap up for skateboarders, since it takes place in early autumn and attracts skateboarders globally.
The event is an important part of the reaction of the deteriorating skateboarding scene in Gothenburg.
As we time after time admire the people that work hard to keep evolving the skate culture in Gothenburg, it's a testimony that we need to keep delivering these kinds of events like this one and Plaskis Classics (which is also a skateboarding event, geared towards street skating). We saw a big crowd engagement and turn up at both events. Which goes to show that if we keep these events going, we will have a strong and flourishing skateboarding community! Go out and skate and show people that the Gothenburg skateboarding scene is well and alive!
Thank you to everyone that came out and thank you to all the arrangers that made this possible. Great skateboarding, great live acts, great food and amazing people to say the least. Until next year!
